Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) plan on spending the summer at their country club, Lava Springs. Sharpay also wants to spend the summer with Troy (Zac Efron) and break up him and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). She gets Troy a job a Lava Springs. Troy convinces the manager to give all his friends jobs for the summer. What ensues is their summer of learning and growing. Troy is lured by the promises of a college scholarship by Sharpay's family and finds himself being pulled away from Gabriella and his friends. Ryan, meanwhile, feels neglected by Sharpay. All events culminate at the annual talent show with everyone learning a lesson and becoming friends again. |
